I have a 2.0 1999 z3 that needs the timing chain tensioner replacing .
Can anyone tell me if its a straight forward job that can be done at home or not?

hi , i have 3 tonneau cover clip assembly's listed on ebay . these are the clips as fitted (4) to the tonneau cover . they are oe part number 54 31 8 412 057 . each clip is made up of 4 parts which assemble easily. i do apologise for the price but you can only buy a full kit from bmw . i've used one...

just for info the part number for the seat belt guide reads as 52 10 8 410 506 £14.71 from halliwell jones bmw the kit includes the guide , backing and 2 star clips .which to be fair is pretty reasonable for main dealer oe parts .

cheers for the info re uploading the pic !
as you can see the switch is in place but i'm assuming part of it is missing i.e the part which allows the black button to attach to it .

hi pcsam ,
i thought it would be that easy but theres nothing for the new button to catch/snap onto when you position it ...
i'm not sure if anything is missing from the switch side of things .
if i can figure how to resize the pic i took of the seat switch i'll post it .

after a severe amount of waggling and one mighty crack it released its grip and slid out a treat .

hi folks , i'm in the throws of removing the seat cover in order to replace the guide , however , having removed the seat and opened up the seat at the rear and taking out the bottom plastic retaining screw i cannot get the plastic seat back to come out so i can get at the hog rings .... i can lift ...
