Must be the locking latch not engaging fully when closed, check out the release cable it may be dry and sticking so the latch isn't engaging fully to hold it shut.

If you want replacements call in or phone your local BMW dealer quote the part number and normally they will be available next day for picking up. They will take a payment over the phone usually.

I think you will be looking for a red relay for the main ABS system and a grey relay for the ABS pump, would have thought both these would be in the main fuse/relay box in the engine bay.

Change all the fluids, oil and antifreeze and brake fluid, whilst your about it do the gearbox and rear diff then you know where you are as a start. Facelifts do not all have H7 bulbs as I found out when I checked mine with HB3 and HB4 fitted appears mine built December 1999 was factory fitted. English Owners manual shows H7 which it dosn't have.

Snap, mine has the same as you HB3 and HB4 bulbs.
Intrigued by what you found had a look at my Facelift wide body December 1999 built 1.8, handbook says HB3 High Beam and H7 Low beam, upon checking I find HB3 and HB4.

Could be the factory used up stock they had on hand, when your car was built or a previous owner if it had one, has been in there and changed them to H7?

Put a code reader on it to see if it has set any codes that may guide you to what is wrong. If the radio works in another car then I would think you have no power on the loom in your car. Check with a meter or a test light with the ignition on at the accessory position and see if it has 12v on the radio feed. Peter might be an idea to put in the measurement between the mounting pins of the deflector as there are two types with different measurements between the pins to suit pre facelift and facelift cars.

Good news you fixed it with a replacement Maf. Del was right about the usual cause being an air leak from split rubbers, when I had similar running problems you had I couldn't find any leaks and changed the exhaust sensors as mine seemed very slow to respond when monitored using diagnostic live data...

If you are certain you have no air leaks in the rubber components after the Maf, it might be an idea to monitor the lambda sensor with the engine running to see what it is doing. Be interested in what your mycarly scan app can actually do, it looks suspiciously like a ELM 327 Wifi interface that can be used with scanner apps on phone or ipad. John is quite right about getting the sensors out, they often refuse to budge and the only way is to take a hammer and drift to knock them out resulting in them getting smashed. Do what I said first and check the wiring then try removing them and cleaning if they come out without breaking reinstall ...
