Re: Wheel Arch Repairs

Thanks for that. Matches my thoughts having a quick look at whats available. It is a narrow body and I'm not desperate (most of what I have seen from a quick look are a lot worse than mine) so I'll be looking out for the best stuff I see. Don't mind getting it sprayed if it's a long lasting repair. ...

Wheel Arch Repairs

Any thoughts on wheel arch repairs. My rear arches on the Z3 are starting to go, not terrible yet, but just getting rusty on the lips under the arch, and a mark about an inch long showing through the body, more discolouration at the moment. The car is really tidy, 19 years old, but a 100k 1.9 and no...

Z3 1.9 Sports Exhaust

Bank holiday Sunday my nice stainless sports exhaust fell in half whileI was away - can't complain, its been on for years, always sounded lovely, and the AA repaired it well enough to get me back home. Now I want to replace it with something similar, but don't want to spend a fortune. The centre pip...

Pull out chrome headight switch wanted

Looking for a pull out headlight switch, as mine doesnt always turn the dash lights on, unless you rotate it slightly once you've pulled it out. So far that's worked every time! I'm told by my garage that replacement is the only way, so I'm looking for one that's got lots of life left in it before m...

You were right, all the misting and dullness was on the outside like a film over the top half of each headlight. I covered the lights in some plastic window cream a bit like mild T cut, and went over it slowly with a battery drill and small mop, just keeping it moving. Lights are 100% clearer, and 9...

I've got to say your both right - the E46 doesn't replace a z3M and the later Z4, I felt was just too bland to drive - We all know there are lots of dynamically better cars around than Z3's, but if you like Z3's, then you just seem to forgive them because they look so good, are 'good enough' and are...

One just went off Pistonheads - Grey 2002 3.0 litre, 40,000 miles £7k. Looked great - by the time I'd worked myself up to it, debated £7k for a 13 year old car and convinced the wife, it went - literally missed it by 2 hours. Still, it convinced me that people will pay that for them, so worth it. An...

Don't wish to sound silly, but do you tilt up the front of the roof to pull it back, after you have released the two locking levers - it's not immediately obvious you need to do that When you do put it back I also sort of chop the back window with my arm, so it folds nicely without creasing :)
