Re: Gedo's Z3 Progress Thread (Pic heavy)
Well, I'm sad to say that my Z3 was sold yesterday and I've moved on to a Z4. We've had great fun over the past couple of years with the Z3 which was fantastic for a 16 yr old car. I'm sure the new owner will be more than happy with her and our 'Z' experience convinced us that we'd always want some ...

Bye Bye A7 - Hello M135i
My Audi A7 went back after 2 years on lease, sad to see it go as it was a great big car but time to move on. Been toying with the idea of 'downsizing' for a few months now, decided "what the hell, your only middle aged once", and ordered an M135i in Estoril Blue. Was due to have it deliver...

Re: Ever since my diff oil change!
All BMW Z3 diffs are noisy...It's one of the defining aspects of the car. Other than checking the correct oil to diff type spec, I would suggest you use the thicker anyhow...it'll soften the volume, and still provide the protection required. You can also slightly raise the rear end when filling and...

Oil change - car too low ?
Went to change the oil today (for the 1st time since I've had the car) thinking it'd be a breeze and found the following issues: Drain plug will be a major pita to reach (2.8 M52) I can't fit anything under the car to catch the old oil ! Basically the front end is too low for any of my usual oil-cat...

Re: definitive answer on strut brace
On the 2.8 (and other models I presume) the car with either be Single Vanos or Dual Vanos. The Dual Vanos cars are newer and flatter across the top of the engine making it easier to fit a strut brace. The raised gubbins you are referring to suggest that your car is a Single Vanos (same as mine) so y...

Z3 Harmon Kardon rear sub/sat setup
I got this as part of a rear roll hoop assembly but as I don't listen to much music when driving I didn't install them in the car. It's basically the Harmon Kardon subwoofer and satellite speakers for the rear of the car. I will include the brackets to mount the sub to the roll hoop mountings. Insta...
