Re: MOT Question

Hi..when I bought my 2000 3.0 it had been standing for a year and had no mot. As the previous post mentioned there are two options. If you are confident in your ability to evaluate the condition of the car ( not so easy for some mot items but most can be checked) then it's a fantastic negotiating po...

Re: Classic Insurance - Who do you use?

I gave a multi car policy on the back of my wife's car with Aviva(I am a named driver). They gave me full no claims as her policy had them and cost 200 quid for 3000 miles 2000 3.0. I thought that was pretty good. I am an old fart at 52 though :)

Re: Cruise Control retro-fitted

Same for me..I did my 2000 3.0 and almost gave up finding that little connector. It was buried in a bundle of wires, once found it is a fairly easy job and a very cheap useful upgrade... Wonder what the original cruise option cost was in 2000? Probably more than it costs today to retrofit with new B...

Took the plunge and ordered meyle hd wishbone kit complete with ball joints and bushes for 146 quid delivered from B and B components on eBay. They even come with 4 year guarantee. Called the supplier to check they were correct for my car and the guy who answered could not have been more helpful. Se...

Re: Front wishbone bushes

I have also got to do this job as ns wishbone bush and lower ball joint were advisories last mot. If I understand correct changing the complete wishbone means they come complete with the ball joint in place and no special tools needed? Is it a fairly straight forward job? I see lots of kits for sale...

Re: tonneau material

I am on one tonight ! So couldn't resist ... A tonneau cover is the cover that is used to cover the open cockpit (ie over the seats) a hood cover (to which I think you refer) covers the hood when folded

Its vinyl as mentioned previously.

Re: Clutch & Gearbox - Light & Easy ?

Hi my Z3 3.0 clutch is not heavy at all and the gear box is pretty positive but it's all relative depending on what you are used to. Every driver will have a different feel and preference so suggest you drive a couple of cars to make your own mind up.

Re: My Z3M's Replacement

I am a life long Porsche fan mainly because the engineering heritage of the air cooled cars meant they were built without compromise or regard to production costs. This ended when the 993 series was replaced with the first water cooled engined 996. This model has suffered serious devaluation, much l...

Quick search on here suggests its under the passenger seat and probably suffers from ...

Windscreen wipers

Hi guys

My wipers drivers side at the top of their travel just cross over the windscreen rubber making an annoying noise

I checked the blades and they are the correct size 20 inch

Anyone know if the wiper travel can be adjusted or is this just wear in the mechanism ?

Cheers

The warning lamp is the triangle with exclamation mark in it and circle arrow around the triangle located between the spedo and tacho.

Is there a separate ABS lamp? No others were lit on the test drive
