Re: vibration on sweeping bends
Just an quick update. I replaced the bushes and it has improved a bit but not gone away. This suggests to me the bushes are dampening it but are not the source of it. I have got new drop links to fit. i couldn't detect any vertical movement in the wheels so wheel barings seem ok? Open to any other s...

Re: vibration on sweeping bends
Hi guys,
Thanks for the responses. I don't think I have a sticking caliper but I will double check. I got replacement bushes and hope to fit them soon. It's very irritating on long drives.
I'll post back with results.

vibration on sweeping bends
hi there, I've noticed recently when I'm driving at motorway speeds, if I even turn the steering wheel a little bit to the right, I start getting a vibration through the steering wheel (similar to unbalanced tyres). If the wheel is straight or to the left, its fine. only noticeable at motorway speed...

Re: ODB codes
hi there, Thanks for the responses. I cleared the codes after I read them so I could see what was coming up fresh. I had the ABS/ASC lights come on today on the way to work so I'm going to read the codes again tonight. I haven't had the wheels off yet because the locking nut key is fairly worn so I ...

hi, I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for translating codes I've ready from my Z3 into something useful. My Vectra has ODBII and these are easy to find but I'm finding the ODB I codes harder to track down. Basically, I get my ABS & Traction Control lights on interm...

Drove up to Aberdeen on Wednesday afternoon. Snow got quite bad north of Dundee. Almost got stuck a couple of times. Drove home on Thursday afternoon, roads clear, had hood down for about 40 miles. What a contrast :) First time out in the Zed in reasonable snow. Didn't fair as bad as I thought it mi...

First check the coolant level ..if it's not at the correct level it may cause the problem. 2nd..the mixture of water to coolant may be an issue...3rd. waterpump / thermostat issue as mentioned above. 4th...possible constriction in the system due to scale build-up which blocks flow at low revs, use ...

Hmmm yes, I've seen the threads about putting sound deadening behind them and pillow stuffing around them. That might be the next step after the HU shows up. Has anyone found a sub that'll fit in the speaker bays behind the seats or are they too shallow?

So yesterday I changed the footwell woofers and the door tweeters. I followed the knowledge base article. The temp dial sits halfway as normal. Within a few seconds of coming to a halt, the blowers go Luke-warm. Within say about 100ft of pulling away they are hot again.

Re: fuel flap
True.
Mine doesn't have a locking cap but doesn't appear to lock with central locking. I'm more concerned about someone pouring something in it than taking something out.
So assuming mine should lock with central locking, is replacing the solenoid a wing-off job?

Passenger door
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can help. My passenger door opens fine from the inside but 90% of the time won't open from the outside. Any ideas? It does occasionally open from the outside. Door pin goes up and down ok with central locking.
Thanks in advance.

There are a lot of sellers out there who seem to have an unrealistic view on what their Z3s are worth having just been in the market for buying one. Even if you do understandably love your Z3, at the end of the day it's only worth what someone will pay for it. Remember the market for 2 seat sports c...
