a guy at my work fitted these and they fit perfect. the wiring was a doddle and they look real smart. if i remember he said there are four wires in the mx mirrors but you only use three. they mounted perfectly, im sure he just drilled out the threaded hole in the z3 door and used new bolts. good luck.

one of the bolts must break on the mounting plate then the force of the regulator putting the window up twists and cracks the other fixing points. i took the mounting plate off. hammered it back into shape then welded it all up. its very rare for the actual regulator to fail. when i had mine in bits...

search window regulator and check the write up i did about my own one, yours sounds exactly the same. the prob is your broken mounting plate which twists and flexes, your reg will be okay.

Hi Dave Ive just ordered a gear knob and handbrake from a guy on the Z4 forum £70 for both delivered. his user name is machine monkey and you can see pictures in g8jka 2.0 progress journal latest may 2013 just above. certainly look as good as the Storm kit and evryone thats bought from him are over ...

Ive got all my cars with aviva multicar and the Z was £139 for the year with a max of 4000 miles. not bad i thought.

HI there. this is my first post so bare with me. i have just done this fix on my z3. the bracket you are on about is only a frame for the motor. check that you have both bolts on the regulator attached to the crash bar, what happens is one of the bolts snaps then all the strain is on the motor brack...
