Gill, How did you find night driving with the halos? Im interested in doing this but wouldn't want to make night vision any worse than with the standard lights, but maybe that's impossible anyway! ;-) Ive seen upgrade kits on ebay but if you could post a link to the ones you used that would be great...

Just spoke to BMW, apparently mine has a non-slip diff and the diff oil they recommend is Castrol SAF-XO, hopefully that's useful for someone else looking at doing the same job.

I followed G8jka's route and made a perspex one, a fun way to spend a few hours and it doesn't look too bad considering it cost me just over £20 all in!
It also works fairly well and is certainly a big improvement on running without one.
