With a bit of luck I can now look forward to my 2000 mile round trip to the Le Mans 24 Hour starting tomorrow.

Re: Coolant peeing out, help!!
Fitted a new coolant cap and the lead seems to have gone.
There was a tiny, and I mean tiny nick in one if the ring seals on the cap thread do you think this would have been enough to cause coolant leaking out of cap, about 2mm

Re: Coolant peeing out, help!!
It's only started to happen since the new radiator has been fitted. When cold the coolant is about 6" from the top of the bottle

Re: Coolant peeing out, help!!
I'm thinking there is an issue with either the filler screw cap or the plastic expansion tank itself. It looks like there is a small nick at the top of the plastic thread on the bottle.
Should the cap have some sort of seal as its just plastic to plastic.
Cheers

Guys turns out its the radiator that has a slight leak. £220 supplied and fitted by local garage. Going to replace the thermostat at the same time as a precaution.

The oil is clean as a whistle. The only other thing I noticed was I accidentally switched the A/C switch on. Might just be a coincidence.

Re: Cars overheating, worried
OMG I've just checked the coolant and its took a litre. The bottle is stained so it looked like it was full from the outside.
I'm hoping its just this. Will get the garage to check hoses.
Amazing advice thanks

Cars overheating, worried
Bought the car a couple of weeks ago. Drove 120 miles back home no problems. Been on short 15 minute drive since again no problems. The gauge has never gone past 1/2 when hot. Today after 15 mins I noticed irratic temps and it went right into the red! I noticed fans weren't running at all. There doe...

Re: Front Grille
I notice the ZunSport grilles are designed to fit to your existing grille and is not a direct replacement.
Does anyone know where I can but an actual front lower grille.

Roll Bars / Hoop query
Hi,
My '98 Z only has the one hole for hoops. Any advice on what options I have here as I'd love a set to finish off the look.
Anyone got a set for sale that will fit.
Thanks
Michael

Trip to Le Mans 24 Hour!
Does anyone fancy a trip to France in June to see the 24 Heures Du Mans. I've been attending for 12 years and I'm all booked up for this year. We are travelling 18th June and returning 25th. This is a driving holiday camping 8 miles from the circuit in the fantastic Chateau De Chanteloup. More detai...

Hi, I'm new to the Z3 and forum but have been running car clubs throughout the North East for 10 years. I've booked my Z3 into the Raby Castle show which takes place on Sunday 16th June. The show is in the grounds of the spectacular castle in Co Durham. I will post more details later along with info...

Hi,
Is the car meant to have a front grille. If so are there any aftermarket ones out there or can it be bought from BMW.
Thanks

Re: Just Bought Z3
Russ, Yep! that's the one, nice little 230 mile round trip to collect. It's been mapped to 150bhp and has a lovely Janspeed exhaust with a raspy tone. The wheels are as new 17" with Bridgestone's right round. It's a great little car for what I paid. I'm looking for a tonneau cover if anyone has...

Hi,
I have 17" alloys and want to lower the car. How low can I go to avoid any rubbing issues. I'm thinking 30mm should be fine?
Thanks

Re: Just Bought Z3
Got the car on Tuesday, drove 230 miles round trip to get it. Had a lovely drive home with the roof down. The car has been re-mapped to 150bhp and boy you can't half tell, 120mph no problem. It's got a lovely raspy Janspeed exhaust which I wasn't expecting so bonus. It's got 17" alloys and I'm ...

Lovely looking car, I' ve gone from silver to black and now to white wheels! I have a set of narrow body black roll hoops for sale - where are you based? Some hoops are just for show, some are actually roll over protection. Not the best photo but they are in good condition http://i304.photobucket.c...
