Howdy Muzz thanks for info update..any clues as to where that oil sensor is located on the 4 pot engine so I can check the wire/plug etc, All the best NZ, are you basking in a heatwave down there? Hi there Peter.. is it the orange/yellow oil light thats showing on your zed? mines doing the same thing occasionally so like your good self am interested to know the simple solution to this fault.

Hi there Renaud, Is that an OEM roundel youve bought or an internet site replacement, the quality looks superb and my bonnet badge is now looking very tired indeed.. having my bodywork sprayed in and tidied up this week so a new bonnet badge will complete the look.. Regards Jeremy.

hi there plastic tee piece low down to right hand side of block looking from front of car is prone to blowing, as suggested fan probably didnt cut in and kaboom!! J.

Hello Folks, Does anyone know the correct name of the very dark metallic purple paint colour that a few Z3,s were finished in ? Ive only ever seen one in the flesh and one for sale a couple of years ago which paintwise looked fantastic, - am considering a new zed in this colour. Thankyou, Jeremy.

Couple of obsevations - if LPG was the way to go im sure Honda, Audi and BMW would be marketing them today, exactly..also if your chosen form of transport is either A. a fishing boat or B. a cement mixer, then yes go diesel!! Night all!

Hi Folks - Another date for the diary I can strongly recommend for Dorset zedders is the Wessex classic car show at Lulworth Castle on Sun June 8th, Its a fabulous setting in a lovely part of the county to enjoy classic cars..(wessex z3 club anyone??)

As a generalisation regarding Z3 ownership, you are truly missing the point by equating the ownership experience into a pence per mile depreciation equation. Enjoy the look, feel, sight, sound and smell of owning a zed, park next to an MX5, and then remind yourself....

Hi There!
Just to add have been pleasantly surprised when using BMW main dealer on the last two times ive needed things - gearbox exhaust bracket was 3 or 4 quid and 12 quid for rear light internal covers. So maybe worth a look for your bits and bobs..

Thanks Brian, That all seems to make sense, day off for me tomorrow so thats the mornings entertainment taken care of - will see what I can glean from the knowledgebase in a bit and take it from there. Cheers Chaps, Definitely some handy hints to try out so thankyou to all respondees - is that a word?? the cylinder head gets very hot so will check the hoses and the thermostat, now I come to think of it when the car was last on the road the heater seemed very reluctant to emit any noticable heat so...
