Re: Wanted S54 Roadster sub 30k miles

There's a surprising number of the 73 made for sale at the moment including the last one ever made and Shantybeaters old car. Jontts old car looks to have sold. Have a look at Pistonheads adverts where there are currently FIVE for sale! Wonder why there are so many at the moment? I searched for ages...

Re: Le Mans Classic 2018

I'm going! Booked with 1st Tickets and already looking forwards to it! . There will be 5 cars in my group. This is my 5th visit and the 3rd with Brian and team on the Pistonheads site. Much easier than doing it yourself especially the catering. Just need to decide if I'm going in the old 911 or the ...

Re: Putting a Z3 into storage?

I store mine for six months of the year ( the cold ones!) and have always used Carcoons

I take most of the actions previously described and the carcoon keeps the car dry, dehumidified and the battery topped up. Don't cost much to run either and the car always emerges in great fettle

Pleased it worked out for you! I still remember pressing the EBay "buy it now" button on my z3m S54 having never seen it ( but with a small amount of due diligence done) and very relieved when I saw/drove it for the first time! Had been after one for ages and had a bad attack of impatience...

Re: Electric window switch problems

Thanks guys. Seems if I want a permenent fix then I will have to splash out on a different/new console! Anyone have a decent secondhand one for a 2002 Z3M in Estoril? I am a bit worried that a brand new one will clash with my 14 year old interior!

Fabulous event and I'm going! This will be my 6th CLM and we are travelling on the Poole/Cherbourg ferry early on the Thursday. Staying on the Pistonheads campsite. Last time I went in the Z3 but I'm afraid the lack of storage for tents etc was a bit of an issue so it's the 911 this time especially ...

Electric window switch problems

Hi Forum members! I have a minor problem with my Z3MR which I wonder has been experienced elsewhere. Basically my wife pushed the electric window button and the button/switch disappeared through the centre console! I've been to my local friendly BMW specialist and he tried to effect a quick repair b...

A bargain s54?

http://www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/bmw-z3m-roadster At a time when there are two s54 Roadsters being advertised with dealers at well over £25K (albeit neither look as if they have sold), this example looks a bargain if it goes for anything like its guide price. Admittedly a higher mileage than the ...

I used the services of Chris from Excel Wheels to refurb my shadow chrome wheels. He actually comes to your home, removes and takes the wheels away and will even lend you some other wheels if needed. He then takes them to Lepsons where he oversees the refurb by them. He even supplied two new Micheli...

I had a 1964 TR4 for almost 20 years! Light blue/Surrey top and wires. Sold it as I just wasn't using it but wish I'd kept it now given how they have rocketed in price!

The BMW is a very different but more practical proposition. Yours looks a nice one in just the right colour!! Enjoy!

M Roadster near Wedmore

Spotted a black M Roadster travelling between Wedmore and Cheddar this morning around 11am. Wearing hardtop and looking good! Not many M Roadsters around North Somerset ( or at least I haven't seen many). Anyone on here?

Must get mine out of its carcoon!

I found several firms who would insure it as a classic but in the end, the best premium came from adding the BMW to my multicar policy with Admiral which currently covers daughter and wife's cars.

Red Z3M roadster on M5

Despite the torrential rain, spotted a red M Roadster travelling North on the M5 near Taunton this afternoon. Shot past me doing a fair old pace (and I wasn't hanging around in my newly acquired F30 330D Msport!) Had a personalised registration and a matching red roof. Nice effort and made me feel (...

I used Chris at Excel Wheels to refurbish my s54 wheels so he's well versed in shadow chrome. He comes to you, removes the wheels (and lends you some more if you need them!). He then takes them in his Volvo estate over to Lepsons in Kent who do the refurb under his supervision. I also needed two new...

Nice purchase well done! Just seen the ad in Autotrader and it doesn't look as if you overpaid either.

Any idea why the last owner sold it again so quickly? It appeared to generate plenty of interest earlier this year.

Phoenix yellow S54 for sale

I've been taking a minor interest in how often these cars come up for sale since I snared mine almost 12 months ago and was interested to see a yellow 51 reg s54 Roadster advertised at £11495 at a Lotus dealer in Devon (see www.thelotuscentre.com). Z3M S54's at Silverstone

Just booked for the Saturday at Silverstone using the CCD BMW Z3 code.

Would be great to see how many of the 73 s54 Roadsters we could muster - I have yet to see another one since I bought mine last summer!

Who else may be there on the Sat?
