Check the wiring loom inside the boot that flexes when you open and close the boot, its a known reason why the boot brake light fails. Mel.

There is still a problem when you are buying and exporting it the same week, I have bought two cars on here and brought them to France and the only way around it was for the seller to delay the sale until I had left UK, I had the insurance covered.

It may be worth checking if you have replacement windows on your insurance policy, a friend of mine over here had one replaced in his hood free of charge by the BMW main agent !

12 years ago I had a 2.8 Auto Z3 that I had a removable hook put on and I towed a 10 meter Glider trailer all over Europe with it and in 25 years of flying gliding competitions it was the best towcar of the lot. ( I am not putting a hook on my present one though )

Re: Tax disc or fuel charge ?
As you may know there is no road tax here in France, you just pay the tolls on 80% of the motorways. So if you are a cheap skate like me and stick to the 'A' roads it makes owning a Z3 affordable on a pension. I paid about 260 euros last year for 12 months insurance, (6 months on the road and 6 mont...
