Re: Z3 M Roadster wanted for photo shoot
Tony go for it, you won't regret it. I did a similar photo shoot with Practical Classics magazine earlier this year to mark 50 years of the Triumph GT6, great day out, thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Plus as you said your car gets to be in a magazine. :thumb: And thanks for the recommendat...

Z3 M Roadster wanted for photo shoot
Hi, I’m looking for a Z3 M Roadster to take part in a feature and cover shoot for Classic Cars magazine. This is set to take place on Tuesday, September 27 at Chobham (also known as Longcross) Test Track in Surrey. The car doesn’t need to be in show condition, just presentable enough to be photograp...

Re: Z3 rear speakers
Lightning, you are a true gent – many thanks for taking the time to look all that up. I had in the meantime tracked down someone selling aftermarket replacements – in Berkeley, California! So that could have been an option but would have worked out at around £90 delivered, and who knows how long to ...

Re: Z3 rear speakers
Ah, I was hoping that wasn't the answer...it's going to be tricky trying to accurately cut larger holes ib bits of plastic with stuff behind them. I'll probably hang on for a few days in the hope that someone comes up with a better option. 3in speakers with their own grilles must surely exist somewh...

Re: Z3 rear speakers
The hole is 3in diameter. The speaker that came out has no lugs – it was clipped into a sleeve that is also part of the grille, and that was held on to the panel by a large threaded ring behind it. The easy way would be to find speakers that will fit the hole – I don't mind drilling holes to take lu...

Z3 rear speakers
Have extracted the buzzing rear speakers from my '99 Z3 2.8 and found out why – the cones are shot. This car came with the Harmon Kardon stereo upgrade, and I cannot track down any replacement speakers, HK or otherwise, that appear to fit the aperture after a frustrating hour-long trawl of the inten...

Any other UK-based Violet Red Z3s?
I've been looking around the web since we got our Violet Red 2.8 auto and can only find two in the US and one in Italy in that colour. Surely there must be others about?

Warning buzzer when driving
Our Z3 is a '99 2.8 auto. Driving along yesterday at a normal A-road speed and the radio went off and a warning buzzer sounded about 10 times, then the radio came back on. Nothing else before or since, and no accompanying warning lights. Any ideas what it might be trying to tell us? The oil is at th...
