FS: WIESMANN HARDTOP + FITTING KIT, other Z3 Parts
Hi all, a bit of sad news first... I have decided to trade Scarlett in for another BMW with more seats at my local dealer, as they've offered me a fairly decent price for her. The good news is that I have lots of goodies on the car that the dealer is not interested in at all, so I'm willing to put h...

Re: brushed aluminium console - fitting
You shouldn't need to remove the gearknob - just unclip the gaiter, and put the gearstick into 3rd or 4th to give you more clearance whichever way required. It's tricky to get the console past the handbrake, but pull it up as high as you can, and then you should be able to remove it (possibly by lif...

Hi Koolflyer, I'm running 8.5J ET41 with 225/45s and I've had to use 5mm spacers on the front.
I also have coilovers however, and I believe these stick out further also.

So from your trial fit it seems to prove that the maximum offset for Z3 is about ET 38. ET8 + 30mm that they stick out = 38 With a 9" wide rim, you are correct. However, there is a small wheel arch lip of about getting 8mm, and the wheel arch splash hard will need to be trimmed for maximum cle...

The writing is upside-down on the springs I fitted 2 days ago, and I have done exactly as the instructions have said. Bad design, but doesn't mean they have been fitted incorrectly.

Commonly damaged part on our zeds, in good condition going spare. Not easy to come by. If your passenger seat switch is damaged you could also open this up and use for donor parts to repair (or fit this upside-down).

Wheel Size Advice
I've tried to put this in my own words to help you out... The offset of an alloy wheel is the measurement (in millimetres) of how far from the centre (inside edge to outside edge) of an alloy wheel the back of the bolt holes are. Therefore a lower offset means the bolt holes are closer to the centre...

I have a spare door pull from a tan interior if you are looking for one? The doorcard itself is fairly easy to remove, you just ha...

Caught between making my own fitting bracket on the passenger side, or selling this and replacing.
It's what I paid for it mate... not looking to profit.

Hi Del, I could be wrong but I believe the history is that Wiesmann made their hardtop for the Z3 before BMW considered one. Pretty much, but I had a few other things to arrange before committing too, so chances I would've missed out anyway.
I also wasn't convinced about the rust-free condition he claimed it to be in, given that all the other Z3s I've seen from Scotland have suffered fairly heavily (including Scarlett).
