Interesting to know as I struggle every year to get mine through on emissions. We have a shell station just up the road. May well be worth a try for 12 months to see what happens, if anything.

I have walnut trim in mine, all the heater control panel, running right through to the rear heated screen switch at the back of the seats, all the surround around the heater vents. I don't know if Ash was a member of here or if any of you knew him from meets with .zorg. Unfortunately Ash passed away on Monday. He was only 24 and a really lovely guy. Our thoughts are with Amanda and his family at this sad time.

Totally agree Del. Mine came already done but didnt even realise for 18 months until I was parked in a line of other zed's ready to go for a spin! Thats how subtle it is! :lol:

Mines failed on co2 readings. The limit is 0.2%. Mine was 0.54%. I've been advised by more than one its most likely to be the cat. Pricing up replacements at the moment including maybe changing the whole system for a stainless. Lambda sensors are also high on the culprit list. Just had a inspection2...

A new cat which turned out to be wrong so has now gone back. Waiting till after my holidays and going to get a stainless full system. Thinking powerflow i reckon. Other recommendations are welcome. :)

I think that looks cracking in the blue. Mine is getting ready but new exhaust has to be first. Be a 3 hour each way trip for me but wouldn't mind if the roof and workmanship were good. Can't beat recommendations.

Oh yes! There's a run of spot welds in the boot floor. Check that none have popped as they hold the diff mounting in position. Quite an expensive repair if the fail. More common to go on the more powerful engines.

Your no claims will be unaffected on a glass claim although they may charge you an excess fee. I doubt if they can repair that being straight in the line of vision. Personally I wouldn't want a repair there as you will see it all the time and it would annoy the hell out of me.

I used castrol syntrans for the gearbox and castrol syntax for the diff. I'd recommend both.

I had a full strip down respray done on mine 18 months ago and paid £2000. Still looks as good as when it was done but it's not to the quality of pingu's. Mine was done by an independent and pingu had his done at the dealers. You get what you pay for.

Changed gear and diff a couple of months ago after 92000 miles and 17 years. Noticeable difference to the running of the car. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It's cheap and easy to do.

Hi chazzy, stick with it mate, The car is so worth restoring. Obviously it'll mean a lot to you with it being your mum's and you seem to know what your doing so the enjoyment and the end result will all be well worth it. And the huge bonus at the end is you'll have a cracking z3m in superb condition...

Hi Tonydrac, mine does exactly the same as yours. I make do, I lock it by the fob, if it doesn't lock the passenger door I go round and lock it with the key. I have been told it's the passenger acuator that's to blame. I shall do it as part of the winter maintenance while it's off the road. :)
