Hi All, Its with a heavy heart but a sensible head that its time to put the Z up for sale. We currently have 2 roadsters and the Boxster won the 'keep me' argument so its time for the Z to have a new home. The car is a 99 V Titan Silver 2.8 w 113k on the clock. Hi All, I have a set of poly bushes for the Z3 front lower wishbone to replave the standard wobbly bushes. Totally agree. With our terrible UK roads I bet a Z on good original suspension would leave a coilover car for dead on a bumpy road. I imagine a firmly sprung one wouldnt be far behind the original through the bumps but it wouldnt be my choice.

Loads of BMW have the idle drop problem - most of them it seems to manifest only when cold. mine currently does it and I have done a fair amount of research so far. Its most likely your fuel tank breather valve which is connected just underneath the intake manifold. You'll need to remove the air box to get at it but its not a difficult job to replace it. If you search on YouTube there will no doubt be some removal/refit guides.

To be fair I think you'll find most six cylinder cars clonk between 1st and 2nd. Its a fairly labour intensive job to replace the subframe and diff bushes so you may as well see what else you can get done at the same time. I'd be interested to know what your quote is for the work.

Tinted headlamps maybe fashionable to some, but it is akin to having permanently dirty headlamps - what is the point in fitting bulbs which give a nice white beam, and then dirtying up the headlamp covers? The wheels are near perfect and the tyres are excellent. I agree that they suit the darker cars slightly better but they still look great with silver. They also are far more comfortable ride wise than the bigger rims and new three will be cheaper - I guess it depends on what you're after.
