Z3 Central Locking Issue

Hi there. All of a sudden my driver and passanger locks will not trigger the central locking, but only from the trunk. I don't use the remote, I just unlock/lock it manually from the key. Z3 2.8 1997. So: -Driver side: will only open that door but not trigger the central locking. When I put the igni...

Re: Steering is extra hard all of a sudden

Sort it. So happy it was a simple one. The culprit was this spring. Have no idea if I'm missing a cover or something but I just glanced at it and said why not - spray some WD40. After a few lock to lock cycles, done. Steering is back. Can;t believe that spring is so strong that was canceling...

All of a sudden my steering on my Z3 2.8 has become extra hard to steer at any moving speed, like something is putting extra friction, plus the weird noises as per the video. https://youtu.be/VYq4Txx6E3g 1) I checked the reservoir and it's at proper level plus the liquid is clean 2) No leak...

To conclude. Those Mtec calipers are very cool if anybody is looking for some, since they are a direct replacement to stock parts and you don't need to send the old ones in. Good day. My front brakes, including calipers on my Z3 2.8 need changing. https://www.mtecbrakes.com/m-cal-100171-l-brake-caliper-left.html Want to do it myself to save some £, so anybody used them in the past? Re: ABS lights - frustration!

I see. Yeah I think BMW could reffer to the alternator as a power supply error. I remember from my E34's option list. 'Boosted power supply' was a bigger alternator. Yeah will tell the mechanic to check that one as well.

As for the rebuilt path - where was that mickdev?
