Re: Hardtop with fitting kit
Sorry for the delay in thanking you fellas, been away for a couple of days. But appreciate the advice. I don't know about these switches/shrouds though, how would I know if I have these? Thanks again, Dave

Hardtop with fitting kit
Hi folks, when i bought my Z3 a couple of years ago, it came with a hardtop which was fitted for me to drive it home. I have never used it since and as it will always be off road for the winter I'm thinking about selling it (the hardtop not the car). At the moment the fittings are still on the car b...

Re: wind deflector
Cheers Colb, you said in earlier message that you used self tappers to fix it in place. I take it then that the turrets do have something substantial to fix to. I assumed they were just cosmetic (possibly hardboard covered in plastic) to hide the seat belt upstands. Regards and I'll now look into th...

Re: wind deflector
Cheers colb, my old beast is the same colour by the way. (If they were French made, I'd say that alone could be the difference between 27 and 30 inch holes). I'd be interested in seeing pics, but at the moment I'm inserting one pin and resting the deflector across in front of other turret it certain...

Re: wind deflector
Thanks Queen Anne, sold the first one on ebay (for a small profit!) the second one (which i know I will lose on) I'm using as I can use the prong on one side and just rest it across the top box and in front of the seat belt turret. But I will certainly look into Windblox and see what I can sort, man...

Re: wind deflector
Hi there. Rig sparky, the first one I bought was indeed from Kawi in Germany and although they describe it as universal, it isn't suitable for the later ones, Dave

Re: wind deflector
Hi there. First question..my turrets don't have removeable discs (I think that was up until 98-99). Question 2, the little discs that are there are inside the turrets and are 27" apart. The second wind deflector i bought has 29" centres on the metal prongs, Sorry for not getting back soone...

Re: What did you buy your Z3 this week ?
Hi folks, fairly new to the forum. My latest purchase for princess Z, my '99 1.9 roadster was a wind deflector...but unfortunately once again I have bought the wrong one. Second time with a wrong model! So now I'm on the lookout for the correct one, gotta say I haven't seen this particular one yet o...

wind deflector
Hello folks, I have now bought two different wind deflectors...both times now the wrong ones! For a car that was only in production for about six years they certainly seem to have tweaked it a fair bit. The first deflector I bought was sold to me as fitting '96-02, no way was that the case. You need...

Re: seat belt shrouds/covers
Thanks Southernboy. I'll take it easy though. That link made it sound too accompliushed for my mechanical skills. I was kinda hoping for someone to say "yeah you just need to remove a couple of screws and the whole thing just opens up. Aaahh well!

seat belt shrouds/covers
Hi there folks, I bought a '99 1.9 recently (topaz blue with matching hardtop for the winter storage months) and as my advancing age requires (don't wanna blow the toupe off) I was looking to buy a wind deflector. Unfortunately, i bought the pre-facelift one and mine is the after version. Long story...
