Re: Sticky Brake Caliper?
I replaced the seals and pistons on all 4 of my calipers, as mentioned before it can be a bugger to get the piston out but I used compressed air and it came out easily. I got all the parts off ebay, cost me around £8 for each caliper. I also got them shot blasted whilst they were stripped down and p...

Re: disks stuck / seized grrr
Get a M12 bolt and 2 nuts, wind one nut down the bolt, put the bolt through the caliper mounting hole and wind the other nut down the bolt up against the caliper mounting bracket. Hold the second nut with a spanner and wind the bolt up against the disk, keep winding bolt until disk pops off.

I used clear Fablon on mine over the whole rear window, got it for a couple of quid from 'The Range'
It never leaked, folded down easy and prevented window from splitting any more.

Yes it does fold down & stay upright but it's not perfect (it is 18 years old) and has a few scratches etc. It measures: 795mm wide x 285mm wide (frame size), and mounting centres are 745mm http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o572/Mark_Perks/BMW%20Z3_zpsjhz2k3ot.jpg http://i1148.photobucket.com/...

Bleeding the system was ...

I've just had my 1997 1.9 Z3 written off by the insurance company after I lost control in the wet and damaged the rear suspension/drive. Not sure if any one can help but my locks do the opposite:
1) Using key in boot also locks/unlocks both doors
2) Using key in doors unlocks both doors but doesn't lock/unlock boot
3) Alarm remote unlocks both doors but doesn't lock/unlock boot
Is this correct?

I changed my thermostat last week, it was fairly straight forward after removing the two plastic parts covering the fan...You can just about get the thermostat out/in with the fan still in place.
I use the Pelican parts website for instructions as it's been mentioned by other users on here.

I fitted the exact aerial a few months ago (put mine where the tax disc used to be) and it looks like the same Pioneer radio too. The pioneer radio puts the antenna power down the middle of the antenna wire so no need to connect to an external power supply

You don't get a MOT certificate, the paper you get is just a receipt that shows the mileage etc...As all this info is on the DVLA website you do not need a certificate to tax the vehicle.
