so I ripped that bloody ecotek valve off this morning and drove the 60 miles to work.
car seems more settled and no drop in rev/misfire whilst in traffic. fingers crossed that was the source of the problem.
I'll monitor it for a few days and see.

Not a clue,
the car was bought from a garage.
not sure if its for a hose connector. it looks like a pressure relief valve of sorts, under the sliver grid/gauze thingy is a plastic diafram on a spring

Hi John,
No I didn't take the radio out.
With a small screw driver I prised off one of the blank caps beside the acs button.
I could also get access from below the clock by taking off the gear stick, cowl and the foam gear stuck surround.

3rd brake light and AC Schnitzer Z3
Decided to give fixing the 3rd brake light a go. Probably the easiest fix I've done yet! :) Popped the trunking off the loom going from the boot rim to boot lid and found a few worn, and one broken wire. 10 minutes, a bit of solder and heat shrink later, and its all sorted. :) 3rd brake light now wo...

Re: Roof switch move
Done and dusted. Took about 45 mins all in. I had read that the loom would fit all the way to the dash if you cut away the trunking a bit. But rather do that and strip away half the dash and centre console (as the loom goes underneath the sound proofing) I just extended 5 wires. A worthwhile mod for...

So a while ago I posted about a misfire with my Z3. Sure enough a scan of the codes reveled she was missing on some of the cylinders. So I changed the coils and all was well. Gear knob is staring to look a bit tatty, it is 15 years old though!
Has anyone suggestions/pics of a suitable replacement?
I'm thinking of just replacing like for like, but I'm open to ideas.

I'm thinking of getting the Z3 either fully resprayed or wrapped.
Probably keep it black, although I wonder what gunmetal grey would look like..
has anyone every resprayed or wrapped their car?
What sort of costs are involved in theses processes for Z3's??
