Re: Another Alarm Question
Perhaps i should clarify, what BMW meant was the alarm was not factory fitted, instead fitted after car was purchased, the fact remains can I get the fob for it.

Re: Another Alarm Question
Thanks Robert T I was advised by BMW to look at the alarm and there should be a serial number there giving the frequency. And mine is the separate fob which BMW class as aftermarket.

Re: Another Alarm Question
Talking about alarms thought I would throw this one in when I bought the car I didn't get a fob with it, the ignition key just has a button for a light, however there is a small red button on the centre console, occasionally it flashes, when I had an occasion to check the fuses, I had taken the one ...

Re: idle control valve
Ok Southernboy looks like I will have to go down the route you suggested, as I am back to square one, it wanted to run on one cylinder, I also noticed what looked like a small amount of white powder in the tail pipe, like ceramic powder. Anyway I did eventually get her started, one thing to note, I ...

Re: idle control valve
Thanks everyone for your contributions and suggestions, I am pleased to say that I found what the culprit is, I disconnected the air temp sensor, and the engine has started without any issues since then, this is the one that fits into the air filter box. However it will be interesting to see what ha...
