Re: Steering wheel
Thanks NZ - I think I'll be going for the straight forward refurb with extra padding.

Steering wheel
Hi all, before I get my 1998 single airbag steering wheel retrimmed, I'm just wondering if any slightly smaller steering wheels would fit? I heard that a z4 wheel may suit, I'm just trying to find one a bit smaller otherwise the alternative is the re trim with extra padding. Thanks in advance for su...

Re: Z3M roadster on board computer
Thanks for that petecossie - I thought that may be the case as I haven't seen that car in the flesh, only the ad. The other one definitely hasn't as I've viewed and driven it. I'm looking forward to owning one of them though!

Z3M roadster on board computer
I'm looking at a couple of M roadsters and one says on board computer - where abouts on the dash would that be? My 2.8 has a little square unit giving mpg temp etc, under the heater controls but I can't see anything like that in the photos.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: WANTED 2.8 or 3.0 z3
Hi Hairycheeks, mine is still for sale but I'm down the other end of the country - Hampshire. Advertised on this forum and reduced to realistic price considering the condition and work carried out over the last couple of years. Have a look at the advert - it's the 2.8 with 52k miles in silver with b...

Re: Future Classic?
Sorry lightning I was just browsing t'internet, found this ad and thought it may interest someone. I'll be sticking with my 2.8 manual for a while longer.
Incidentally, I have bought previously from Wimbledon carriage and can vouch for their genuineness and honesty!

Re: Boot brake light lamp holders
Thanks littlefeller, I'll look at doing that, at least it appears a permanent fix. I'm sure I saw some pics from another member some time ago showing a step by step guide on how to instal LEDs. As you say, it must be real easy.

Boot brake light lamp holders
Main dealer quoted £7 per holder, I need 4 due to water leak and rust and corrosion on the contacts of the holders and bulbs. Found these on ebay http://www.pinballheaven.co.uk/shop/pinball-heaven/bulb-holder-twist-lock-24-8767 OK, they needed a bit of modification with a craft knife to get them to ...

Re: Wind deflector - can it be repaired?
Done it :cheers having stared at the 2 deflectors and scratched my head repeatedly all yesterday afternoon, I decided to have a go at dismantling the really loose fitting as I had nothing to lose. The next bit is for Alan W and anyone else who has a wobbly post  After unscrewing and removing th...

Hi Colb, that's given me food for thought if I don't get anywhere with the swap, thanks.

Wind deflector - can it be repaired?
I have become the (proud?) owner of 2 wind deflectors - unfortunately only 1 fits the spacing between the mounting holes. I made the mistake of not checking the distance between the holes, and assumed they were all the same. No they're not! So I have one with 75 cm distance between the fixing posts ...

Re: Have I bought the part I need for a rocking drivers seat
I did mine a couple of weeks ago, so hope the following helps. Undo the front seat runner bolts , move seat fully forward and undo rear nuts. I then undid the seat belt anchor bolt and secured that and, with a friends help, disconnected the electrics then removed the seat. After undoing the torx bol...
