Wings and arches

Artic silver rear arches for wide body pre face lift and front wings. Removed from my 1998 2.8. These have surface rust on the leading edges and bubbles. I bought some new wings and arches and had them cleaned up and painted then fitted them just to save having the car off the road. I think these co...

Re: Sill For Sale

Do you have a price including postage? It's the wide body version you're selling?

Re: BMW z3 stoneguards opinion

Had this same problem. Silver wide body and putting on new wings, didn't really fancy clear or black. I just made a template and got some silver carbon effect 3m vinyl. I think it was from eBay and was only £8. Enough to do two sets and a practice bit!!

Re: Is it worth fixing? 97' Z3 2.8

Definately a fair list of bits to do then, be worth more in parts but that'll needs time and space so maybe listing as a 'project' on eBay because they always seem to sell and often at a high price !

Re: Is it worth fixing? 97' Z3 2.8

Sorry to hear about your bump!! A lot depends on how much you are able to do yourself firstly. Parts seem fairly readily available for these and if you can twirl the spanners you could have it sorted for around £500-£600ish. Lights for £100, slam panel £80, bonnet £250 (assuming you can get one same...

Re: Diff and Gear oil quantities.

Think I read the diff was 1.3 quarts for my 2.8. Anyway I didn't use all 2l bottles but was more than 1 bottle anyhow

Re: Diff and Gear oil quantities.

Recently did mine. Most of the oil and specs seem to be in quarts but basically you'll need 2litres of each

Re: Only 1 speaker out of 4 works.

If you can remove them you can test them with an aa battery. Just put a wire to positive and one to negative and you should hear it pop and static. If not its buggered!

Lowering

I've scoured the site for some info on this but hope someone may be able to advise!! I'd like to slightly drop the car, I've owned 'slammed' cars before but whilst they look great I enjoy driving it as it!! Are there any 20mm springs available or will the z3m stuff be different and lower it slightly...

Re: Hello - newbie!

I do like those wheels. :) Thanks. When I bought it it had 19's on it! Too big and totally the wrong offset so I had the wheels sorted before I even picked it up. I'm thinking of slightly lowering it and adding some camber plates to the front, clear lights and the m style rear lights too. I've quit...
