Job lot...or split?
Just wondering what opinions might be re selling a few nice parts as a lot vs separate items? I have a (very)nearly new pair of chrome gills, clear 3rd brake light, windbreak and new steering wheel with mattchrom lower part. Lesser parts like Business cassette player, fog blanks too. Was thinking of...

Mine is up for sale - it's only a 1.9, but is mint.
Dealers are trying to shaft me so will be a bargain via Ebay...65k, FSH, no dings, rips, tears, rust etc. 2002.
I would prefer to see it go to a good home!!

One thing worth trying, try FABSIL. It's a water repellent treatment used on tents etc. This solved my water problem so worth a try: I found that by treating the strip approx 8" wide from window edge to first stitiched seam worked. This makes the water bead off, like wax on paintwork, versus so...

Just wondering what sort of value my 2002 1.9 may be worth??
64k, FSH, no rust, dings, rips, tears etc. Brushed alu console, clear 3rd brake light, chrome gills - Very very tidy. Silver/black leather
I'm looking at Dan's 3.0 so maybe mine could be a bargain for someone??

They can be a bit of a sod!
Each kidney grille is best left complete i.e. chrome and black slats still as one unit, then I found the heal of my hand and generous "slaps" from behind will dislodge. Once you've done one side you'll get the knack for the other.
Good luck!

Pebbles in washer bottle?
Overhauled my washer system this weekend - removed old windscreen wipers, thoroughly cleaned screen, wiper arms and scuttle area. Added Rain-x to windscreen and fitted new BOSCH aero wipers. Removed and cleaned washer nodules on bonnet, in the kitchen sink, one was blocked. (My wife is used to me us...

Sorted - I had to tease it out with the help of a tiny flat head screw driver. Really tidied the back end up nicely!! I must get round to some piccies, I've fitted a brushed alu centre console, chrome gills, front fogs, and new steering wheel with matt chrome insert too. Car much improved now. Love ...

Clear 3rd brakelight fitting tip
I have got hold of a 3rd brakelight complete with body colour cover - looks fairly straightforward to fit, just wondering whether it would be easier to fit entire unit including cover, or just remove light lens part and swap over?

Retro fitted front fogs over the weekend, nice easy job aprt from a duff fuse!! No bother though, soon sorted it. Wanted to say a big thanks to Andy, AKA Spurs fan in a coupe, who came to the rescue and supplied (MEGA-QUICK) a twin foglight switch. So fast, in fact, that he posted it before I had pa...

Re: brushed aluminium console - fitting
The two nuts lock each other... ie. the larger inner nut is what holds the cable in tension, the smaller outer nut locks up against the large nut so that it can't loosen over time. You will obviously need two spanners of the respective sizes. Hold the large nut firmly, and undo the smaller nut. the...

Had a quick look under the handbrake gaiter, there is a pair of adjusters with a smaller nut and a larger nut together on each side. Do I need to just loosen the outer (smaller) nut? I've changed my original business cassette head unit for a new Alpine unit and the sound quality is noticeably better.
Just wondering what others have done with their front speakers...?
What size are they, are they an easy DIY swap, what brand is recommended etc.?

Evenin' guys,
Trying to remove the front, lower, part of my steering wheel so I can fit a "matt chrome" piece.
Can't see the type of screws at the back (if any!) my eyes are old (and tired) and I can't find the torch either
Anybody help me out while I start on the ale?
