Re: Front upper strut mounts?
I just fitted new Meyle front strut mounts yesterday. The arrow points to the small allen bolt locator that is discarded on the Z3 but used on the Z4. I kept it pointing to the rear or where the locator bolt would go but as it is not utilised on the Z3 I really don't think it matters as the mount is...

Re: Please help seat nightmare
You need to do as I described and lift up the rails at the front to remove the 4 torx bolts this will slide the mechanism forward to access the rear bolts.

Re: Please help seat nightmare
I have tried attaching the files but even after downsizing them to 10% they are still too large for the 256KiB limit. Anyone any idea how to reduce them even further to attach? To show pictures here you need to store them on an external photo server, photobucket, Image Shack etc etc. More info belo...

Re: Please help seat nightmare
Well it is possible, but is there a reason for getting the seat moving? I was replacing the bushes and had got so far it was not going to defeat me (and had bought the bushes anyway). If it was the drivers seat I could understand wanting adjustment but not really an issue for the passenger if it is ...

Re: Please help seat nightmare
It didn't with mine but as I could see no other way to remove the seat other than destroying it I don't think you have any other option but is obviously a risk. This way the seat itself would be ok and you might have to just straighten the rail out (probably where the rear bolt goes through) in a vi...

Re: Please help seat nightmare
Hello Millhouse this sounds like the same problem I had just a few weeks ago. If you are reasonably handy with tools it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Presumably you have removed both of the front rail nuts. You then need to prise up both front rails approximately 2"and wedge something in ...

Hello everyone, Just introducing myself. My name is Ian and I live just south of Edinburgh in Bonnyrigg and work as an engineer. We had been thinking about a convertible for a few years now, initially an MX5 and latterly a retractable hard top Z4 but a month or so ago was offered a 1997 red 1.9 Z3 f...
