took mine off as well, have encountered no problems, if you do this you will need a short piece off pipe for the drivers side, in fact they work better without the valves

Hi
Anyone know where I can get some chrome tail pipe trims (2.2 Z3) BMW part no 18120000794, they are oval 55x65 85mm, can not afford BMW originals, have been on e.bay not sure if any of them will fit.

Tick over speed is 650 rpm on my 2.2, seams a little slow to me, no warning lights on dash or fault codes (c310 reader), should I worry?

must admit when these packed up it was a bit like the last straw, having just replaced the front ABS sensors ( by stripping and painting the front hubs) brake pad wear light wire and rear dampers, and come back from the M.O.T just for it to go on 5 cylinders and start running rich, no lights on the ...

Hi thanks for your input, Have removed and cleaned the tank (4 parts Milton steriliser 1 water, works a treat flush well afterwards). Can live with the delay, when I was a bit younger you had too pump the screen wash up by a manual pump on the dash.

hi over the winter removed sills and wings to deal with any rust problems also fitted new rear shocks, had to turn the car around so could work on one side at a time, on one of the shuffles abs and traction control lights came on, diagnostics told me no electrical signal from o/s and n/s abs sensors...

brought a new 1 series with service pack, had all the services done by sytners Leicester, now that the car is six years old, did the last service myself, low and behold the diesel fuel filter has never been changed ( date stamped 2010 ) the service book is stamped and signed that it was changed 2014...

Thanks for your reply, May give them a try, Have found BMW parts from the main dealer too be not that much dearer than independants or motor factors. Just seams to be the labour rate that's the killer!

Hi Thanks for your help have pulled and turned can rotate the grommet around the antenna still can not get the thing out I am going to order a new grommet then cut the old one away hopefully this will release the unit. Has for disconnecting the battery learnt the hard way working on a 1950s MG carbs...

Haynes manual BMW 3 series 1992 to 1998 covers the Z3 part number 18021 I use this and the Bentley manual and find them

thanks again for the information, it seems my car was made in 2010 which were not affected ? funny that I am now getting the same fault as the others ! then again mine can not be the only 1 series made then, perhaps the fault is only starting to manifest itself ?

Hi Have had this car from new brought the five year service pack when I got it so it has been serviced by sytners from new last service a fuel filter change was done the fault could not have been there then or I am sure a big bill would have come my way has it would have not been covered by the serv...

Hi Thanks for that information, Have been in touch with my local sytners and BMW uk, they both say this was a recall on another BMW but not the one series, there advice was take it in and pay £150 to be told what I already know and if it I a wiring fault I may be able to get some good will from BMW,...

thanks, I keep clearing the fault every time I try something to fix the fault, I sometimes wonder if its my fault my other BM is a diesel and I find myself driving the z the same, perhaps I should keep filling it up with v power and drive it like I stole it !
