Not posted on this site for a while. Thought I'd update this journal to finish it off. So I sold the Z3 a while back now to a lovely chap that took it to the south of France where I believe it still resides. Didn't take long to get back into a zed and currently own an E85 Z4 3.0i as my daily.

Love the updates, especially the intake manifold upgrade would like to do this on mine would be a good addition to my simota carbon induction, where did you get all the parts, eBay? What bhp increase do you reckon you've gained?

That's not that cheap really have a look around there's loads on the market with lower mileage and not cat d I'd give that one a miss, think your desire is clouding your judgment.

So to update and close this post I've fixed the leak and it turned out to be the high preassure hose (32416754173)that goes from the pump to the steering it had a hairline crack at the neck where the rubber o ring sits, I replaced this too, I wish it had been the pump as would have saved a lot of mo...

Ok so went to Halfords bought the recommended PSF topped up to the correct level and went for a little drive well about 400m The power steering started working again but was followed by a loud grinding noise, on looking under the bonnet I can see the psf leaking from under the belt where the ps pump...

Yes mine started When battery died and car had to be jump started, eep_1 occasionally then constant. I wonder if the car being left outside in wet weather has anything to do with it too,condensation build up etc :?: now keep under cover as 911 turbo occupies the garage. Recently fitted Eibach lowering springs all round and must say am very pleased with the ride/handling and look,thanks for the recommendation all they are definitely worth the extra cash :D Have also added a pair of magnetic arch protectors courtesy of Ian_c :thumb: http://i1383.photobucket.com/album...

Can I clean the throttle butterfly with carb cleaner? As I've seen various info saying you can't as its Teflon lined? don't think there's much lining left on mine it's covered in crap

Have tried turning off the asc button, but as soon as I apply any revs the engine starts to hesitate in neutral or in gear, I tried to drive it but it will just kangaroo at very low speed as will only rev to around 1500 then losses power then revs to 1500 then looses power. Is there a way to disconn...
