'fraid not! When we collected it they said that one of the rears was showing a fault despite cleaning the reluctor ring (second hand shafts). Could be the sensor but if we got one he'd fit it FOC. It's happened to me before with a VW, I think in my case it was the brakes being tested in the rollers. I thought if my car was to develop a fault then best it on a test rather than out on the road. But I would never use a fast fit centre for anything, pure money making machines. Find a local garag...

Have you tested the engine? Long term LPG usage can damage some engines. I'd certainly want to listen to the engine running but it depends what you mean by test it. You're 4 years too late with that advice. :D Still a £50 sensor wasn't the end of the world. At least I know it's fully sorted now that I'm selling it. I had an inlet cam sensor done on mine, same symptoms you are describing.

Also on hot start up turned over a bit longer before firing up.

All cured after the sensor replaced.

Nationwide the going price for a mint, under-average-mileage 2.8/3.0s seems to be around £8,000. The £15,000 being asked above stands out in isolation. For £15,000 you start to move in 911 territory. They haven't prepped it yet.

You can still see the corrosion on the bottom of the wing in the photo of the wheel.

Can't believe they're not a little more switched on than that, having a photo showing that.

It was listed as Cat D in one of the ads but not anymore, think it might have been an ad on auto trader.

The seller will be hoping to catch someone out whom will not Hpi check the car.

I have driven the Golf and it's happy to sit at 1500rpm going up a hill, although it seems to be at the beginning of the turbo kicking in. It does smoke if you do this. As soon as the turbo spools up the car accelerates and the smoke seems to clear, although it's hard to tell as you can only see it...

Had mine done, 2.2cc, showed up as a fault code.

Engine misfired very slightly at low revs.

Also turned over a little too long before starting.

Quick update, not many 6 cylinder, facelift Z3's around for sale at the moment for her budget.

The prices for these cars do seem to be on the up, which is good news.

They don't come up that often in the UK, not sure about anywhere else. And they do command a premium. And I'm certain the low mileage clean examples will slowly rise in value from now on.
