lumpy idle on z4 2.0i sport
Just bought the car drives like a dream but idle I a bit lumpy. I know its a four pot but its not a smooth idle the rev counter skips a bit as well, only a little but noticeable

A baby engines 2006 Z4....its only the 2.0i but car is mint and the misses is happy...later will be a 3.0i though a matching pair of 3.0is....But a very nice clean car she is.

Askng as I have found a v good condition rear bumper to replace my slightly scratched one but it is off a 2.0 same year and looks same on photos .......If not it will be a paint repair.

Sooty pipes quiet normal as long as she isn't blowing any blue smoke....mayo on filler cap is probably condensation common on a lot of cars. I had same problem. I had a code read it an intermittent misfire on a cylinder, plug or as said a coil pack..still haven't changed it as its gone now...but I will be doing plugs on next service and see if its as simple as that if not a coil pack.

I paid 3495.00 for mine totally original ( she sows need a bit of paint here and there but generally clean) 52 plate with 135k...but she's mint inside and under the bonnet. The guy wants 3k but there are a couple of bits here and there and wheels not original....ira a 2001 model 125k. Plus needs rea...

Yes it was working, and a couple of days ago i noticed its out. Wiring is fine but no light. I can only assume bulb as everything else is fine lighting wise.

If I'm right its trim levels, suspension, interior and seats being the main...wheels are generally different as well.i specifically looked for a 3.0i sport ....even though 3.0 seem to be rare....and the general difference was as I've atated.

Anyone know if chrome mirror caps are available for a z3? If so could you direct me where. Or do you have any ideas? Could I adapt something else to fit? Must be removable. Oh and I'm buying door handle chrome covers.

In general, the best way to tune an engine is to give it a full service and get everything back within tolerance :) . Service on the cards in the coming weeks....and I'm more than happy at the moment, but I see a Z4 3.0si coming to the stable soon, and later a Z4M. I'm in the trade so bidding my ti...

Cheers guys. So ill swop air intake and report back on findings. Then save for a remap. Today I'm off to look at a set of wheels to get mine off for a refurb. If no good maybe a remap sooner than I thought .

I have had a remap on mine, stock Air Intake and Stock Exhaust, the remap has not dramatically changed the power delivery but it has not got a smooth power curve and what certainly seem a few more horses.
