Just to let you that I had my drivers seat bolster repaired on saturday by Q Trim in Chelmsford Essex and he has done a great job. He managed to get hold of the correct tanin red hide and has still got quite a bit left. So if you need a repair done then give him a call on 07927192266 or 01245917821....

Re: Chrome windscreen surround fitted
I do like a bit of bling if it is done right! This model accepts it well. It is meant to be a fun car for the summer so it should reflect that.
My other classic (urquattro) is pretty much standard with just a few embellishments

Re: Gearbox Oil? - Arrrh!
The oil I bought for the change was Castrol Syntrans B 75W Fully Synthetic Car Gearbox Oil, but I am sticking with the Dexron II ATF as specified. It is what came out so I know it works for the gearbox.

Gearbox Oil? - Arrrh!
Have just recently bought what I thought was the correct oil for the gearbox and now my mechanic has said that the orange tag on the gearbox specfies ATF Dexron fluid.
These fluid variants on these models are a nightmare!!

Re: 1997 Z3 2.8 Manual Gearbox and Differential Oil Change
Thanks for the replies, by the way I do know what ATF & MTF mean! :) I have read so many threads on here about different oils including putting ATF in the manual gearbox. I have done this in the past with good results. I run an Audi 80 Sport with ATF for several thousand miles after it initially...

1997 Z3 2.8 Manual Gearbox and Differential Oil Change
I know it might be an old chestnut, but there seems to be a lot of conflicting threads on which is the right fluids to use. I think my car has an LSD so I get the feeling I should be looking Castrol SAF-XJ 75-140 for the Diff, but for the Gearbox I am not so sure. Is it really ATF fluid as some have...

Re: Armrest for a 1997 Z3
[quote="Southernboy"]I assume you're referring to the center console area ?? And what colour leather are you looking for ??}
Hi there.
Yes centre console. I have a Tanin Red/ Black interior so either colour would not look out of place.
Z3 is a Mk1 not Mk2

Armrest for a 1997 Z3
I am looking to get an Armrest for a Z3 but they seem to be thin on the ground. As anybody modified on for an E36 before? I am not interested in tilting just to supply support.
