Eww don't fit the Hamman rear lights - stock lights are the best on the M! I reckon the car looks spot on as it is - I think your car carries off the rear diffuser because the tyres are so wide it works and look classy. Fitting those rear lights it will look a bit max power 1999

I would take the SACHS Advantage over the touring all day. The touring will be quite soft and a standard car damper. The Advantage are by no means like an aftermarket harsh damper though but just have a bit more control.

Re: B*stard main dealers
The Z3 may be a BMW, but BMW dealers have well washed their hands of it. The only time I'd take a car to a BMW dealer is if it was within warranty and/or not too old/low mileage that keeping it's service history might help resale. But the Z3 is far too old to expect full BMW history (it's not worth ...

Re: H and R Antiroll bars - Z3M
The rear is a little thicker, but the front bar on the Z3M is actually thinner due to the different location it uses on the struts (vs wishbones).
So a standard Z3M rear bar should provide a tiny improvement (but a set of aftermarket will be a better bet!).

The H&R bars make a bigger difference than the springs IMO.
Steering is much more responsive and a bit more weighted as you lean on the car in corners. At high speed you have to recalibrate yourself slightly as the car is a lot more responsive.

Re: soft rear end.. but might be normal
It's a common characteristic of the suspension design, but make sure your rear dampers are in good condition as this can exacerbate the effect; having said that, the stock dampers qre quite soft and allow a lot of squat and bounce particlarly on gearchanges. I can recommend Spax adjustable (you can ...

You can usually get them out with a footpump quite easily using a piece of pipe like a vac hose (or whatever fits tightly in the footpump and slots into the caliper connection. Doesn't need to be airtight, just pressed on whilst you work the pump.

Tyre person was probably reporting a bit of runout, which can be balanced out without noticing it on the car unless it's really bad. But a badly buckled wheel is felt from slow speeds upward (the car waddles if it's really bad). But after watching your video, that's definitely a binding caliper. Aft...

As per previous reply, if you want to make the car good then new panels from BMW are probably your only bet. 2nd hand panels will likely to be rusty, and as you probably found, they rust from the inside out, so grinding doesn't help as it's coming from the other side. Yea would be useful for someone without the tool; I tried a few big flat bits from an impact screwdriver but they kept "ramping" out of the slot as they were tapered, so I modified it by grinding it square so it sat really nicely in the keyway of the screw.

First I've heard of something like this, normally box sections would be wax injected, it makes no sense to oil fill it as it would just eventually leak out/add weight. On the cars with the side markers, the headlights don't have access holes for the sidelight in the main beam lamp. Though the cast mark is there.
