Maybe the MZ3's S54 are from a different build which isn't affected as much? Or perhaps the drivetrain doesn't put as much strain on the car etc, there must be some reason why BMW didn't recall the S54's in the MZ3? yes, only a few S54 Mcoupe sold so cheaper to pay problems on a case basis than pay...

You will have to pay a high premium I think for an S54 though. It's only a few Bhp (4) more than the S50 but can easely be tuned up to 350ish.
