My friends Z3 1998 roof won't close. He says it has shrunk due to him leaving it down most of the time. Any suggestions? Other than buying a second hand hood, from where? He lives nr Dorchester, Dorset.

Re: New Mazda MX5 - a stunner to look at

So I look up the details on this new Z2. Coming on market summer 2016 BUT it is based on the mini hatch floor pan and is a front wheel drive! And will cost about $30K. The new MX5 is rear wheel drive. Obviously this is subjective front or rear wheel drive. I have a new mini which is great fun, but w...

I think you are missing the point guys. The new Mazda MX5 is alot cheaper than a new BMW Z4! Starts around £20K so in line with the old Z3. A new Z4 is in the category with the Boxter, and is a much more sophisticated car. I'm talking about a small, fun, cheap, good looking, two seater: and BMW don'...

New Mazda MX5 - a stunner to look at

Love the look of the new MX5. Why on earth couldn't BMW have built this 5 years ago? Yet again BMW are kicked out of the field. The new MX5 will be with us for driving in June... I can see much of the Z3 in the new body. Views? BMW just concentrating on 100 variations of the Mini - most of which are...

Let's face it, Z3's values - if in good condition, low mileage, and well kept etc are a bargain. Mine (the most disliked) eg: a '98, silver, 1.9cc, cloth seats, auto, 33K on clock, fsh, original, kept in garage, a toy - is worth nothing. Lovely to drive + gives me a lot of pleasure. AND still looks ...

I don't see that many in Dorset either. But like mine I expect a lot of them are now 'second' cars. Just been in the garage and The Valkyrie is certainly smiling at me. 15 years old and still a looker - compare it to a same age TF or MX5, no contest. Get the Z3s out and enjoy I say; but put the sun ...
