Hi all The Z hasn't had much use over the last few months and I had to jump start it this morning. It started fine, I took it for a quick drive round and it now starts on the battery. I would like to give the battery a full charge but does anyone know if I need to disconnect the battery before charg...

You need to be really careful so the glass doesn't get fogged by using a compound that is too harsh. Depending on how deep the scratch is, I would get some Silvo silver polish. It takes a bit of elbow grease but the results are really good. This has limitations but if it is just a surface scratch, i...

Mine does the same.....
1999 2.8 facelift. Leave running when cold, it gives a steady tick over initially and then drops the revs to almost stalling point before picking up again. It does it 3 or 4 times but once up to temperature it's fine. It also only seems to do it from being really cold. Wonder if they all do it?

Rear tyre losing air.......
My OSR tyre has been losing air recently. I took it to a tyre centre today and after checking it out, they think it is leaking round the edge where the central spokes are bolted to the rim. I have got the 17" BMW alloys but it never occurred to me that this could happen or that there was a join...

You certainly need to check your insurance cover. I was told if the vehcle is left with the roof down and is 'unattended' there is no theft cover for the vehicle. My inspection 2 (1999 2.8) is due. I called Vines Redhill last week for a quote before calling by usual dealers, Chandlers of Worthing. The post below proves they do exist but I think I got the last one.
It might be worth checking with them to see if they are getting any more.
I find it really comfortable and it certainly doesn't get in the way of any switches.

Alex If the wheels haven't been taken off for a while they can tend to stick. Make sure the car is securely jacked up with axle stands before you start using any force though.
