Live in Ferring - daily drive to work in Redhill - but admittedly in a 407 diesel
The Z comes out on sunny days, weekends and feel good Friday's.
I got it in 2001 and I still love driving it but wouldn't want it for a daily commute.

You need to be really careful so the glass doesn't get fogged by using a compound that is too harsh. Depending on how deep the scratch is, I would get some Silvo silver polish. Copydex (a rubber solution glue) is good for this kind of thing and a real plus point is that any excess glue just rubs off.
In case you are worrried about how strong it is, I know that it is used for holding seams together when making leather / suede jackets.

Mine does the same.....

1999 2.8 facelift. Leave running when cold, it gives a steady tick over initially and then drops the revs to almost stalling point before picking up again. It does it 3 or 4 times but once up to temperature it's fine. It also only seems to do it from being really cold. Wonder if they all do it?

My OSR tyre has been losing air recently. I took it to a tyre centre today and after checking it out, they think it is leaking round the edge where the central spokes are bolted to the rim. I have got the 17" BMW alloys but it never occurred to me that this could happen or that there was a join...

The straps don't go underneath the bootlid. They clip to the boot edge. They are metal 'u' shaped brackets which have a moulded plastic covering to stop them scratching the boot. The straps then tighten on these. Hope this explains it okay.
