Just popped back to check something out, and wow! - how the board has moved on...

Maybe it's because the original 1.9 Z3 is now within reach of those who wear their baseball caps sideways?

Strange, because a spinner can only slow the car down.

your best option is the Harmann Kardon ipod link, up front stand alone screen and seperate ball remote. ipod can be hidden anywhere in the car and use the ball to work the full functions of the ipod which can be seen on the screen. i recently fitted one in to a Porsche Carrera 4 and it looked very ...

You can control from the headunit or the buttons on the steering wheel. In my car, the iPod's in the driver side glove box, makes it easier taking it in and out.

And DON'T go for the iPod FM stuff, this will link into a tuned radio station on the head unit, and does not give you the control through the steering wheel / CD selector etc.

And also worth mentioning they can fit the iPod anywhere. You can have it visible, in the glove box, or in my car in the driver's side glovebox (more convenient as you don't have to lean over to take the iPod out).

My dension was installed perfectly with the navigation in a 3 series, but Halfords could not install it - got an installation company called Hyde Park to do it, but all is fine!

Have to report that the Dension interface works superbly, track names on screen, controls via the steering wheel, and after some fiddling with connectors, TV audio continues to work (didn't after the inital install).

When I used to do a lot of off-roading, those that got through were the ones with the narrower tyres. The posers with the big wide tyres just get stuck on the surface with wheels spinning, and can't cut through to the solid stuff below. 1.9 probably had thinner tyres I guess, 3.0, 2.8 and M are much wider.

Z3 + snow = terrible.

A Fiesta with 175 tyres WILL be much better. Z3's too light at the back, and too big on the tyres. After a couple of experiences in snow, left it at home when there was a likelihood of snow...

I tried that, and the club office, but still nothing - in fact I got no benefit whatsoever out of paying the extra to join the Z register. Only £5, granted, but effectively theft nonetheless.
