Pleased to report my 02 will soon have passed a major milestone, 30,000 miles from new. It was a bit of a pain replacing those original front tyres last summer!

My bonnet sensor was replaced under warranty for similar reasons to the ones described. Alledgedly they replace them with a longer version from an X5. Cripes - that means my cars been modded........ its a slippery slope but I'll fight any chrome urges.

That nitrous bottle...

I don't think that nitrous bottle is connected to the fuel system. Its there for use as laughing gas to convince the passenger they really are having fun.

So long ago I'd forgotten all about this post.

In the end I went with the BMW ceiling hoist, bought 2nd hand from 3ster.

It really does make putting the top on a one person job.

The hoist is great, trouble is I keep hitting my head on the hardtop when I walk through the garage.
