I agree that the standard Z4 headlights are quite poor bearing in mind the performance of the car. I now have the facelift Z4 and this time spec'd zenons. No problems any more, they are brilliant. Probably not really a viable upgrade on the standard halogen set up.

Facelift Z4 CDV

Many of you will know the improvement to the feel (and performance) of the clutch by removing or drilling out the standard fit clutch delay valve. It made a vast improvement to my 03 Z4. I now have a new "facelift" model and I wonder if BMW no longer fit the CDV as it feels exactly the sam...

I got the dealer to fit a 1st aid box under the drivers seat as part of a new car "deal". I fitted one on my 1st Z4 myself (quite easy). BMW's instruction is to take the seat out - not necessary, and in this case expensive for them!

Our 1 Series requires the radio to be replaced (speaker feed fault). Apparently it takes 1 hour to replace but 3 hours to re -programme. Any of you IT people know why it takes so long? They did say the 7 Series takes 6 hours!! Some relevence to the board as the radio seems the same as the Z4

New 258bhp 3.0i engine

In looking at the spec of the new 3 series I compared the engine stats with the existing engine as currently in the Z4 (presumably to be replaced at the "facelift"). The new engine delivers 258 bhp @ 6600 revs as opposed to 231 bhp @ 5900 revs and the same torque figure of 300 Nm but @ 250...

Paul. In Leicestershire you are offered the course instead of points if you have not received a speeding offence in the last 3 years. Only "minor" offenders are able to escape points. All the offenders on my course were caught in 30mph areas, the highest speed being 38mph.
