Sadly the car has now gone. :cry: :cry: :cry: Hopefully to a good home. Absolutely gutted. Got the full price. Bloke came up from Portsmouth and pretty much just drove it away.

It was great while it lasted.

Sorry mate but I would only be trying to sell yours on straight away. We'll have to see how the sale goes but perhaps we could work out a holding deposit deal while you sell yours. That way I would need best price but you would be guaranteed to get my car when yours sells.

I payed £1400 for mine last year which was for a total body flat down and respray to get rid of the leaf staining. They also got rid of all the stone chips on the front end and the rear arches. Yours doesn't sound quite so drastic so I reckon that's a decent price.

PAH :) . That's nowt, it's only 5 mins away for me (driving slow at that). Not taken the ///M there yet although I called in once and they said that they won't undertake major work on ///Ms. Not too sure what constitutes major work though.

This morning in Sandbach

A dark blue (maybe topaz but looks darker) Z3 crossing the roundabout at the end of Salt-Line-Way in Sandbach this morning. Also regularly see a light blue (probably atlanta) zed with a small boot spoiler in and around Sandbach. I'm usually in my dark green ///M so give us a wave :) .

As far as CD palyers go I reckon that anything from the Becker range suits the Z3 dash really well. Mine isn't one of the latest so has no iPod connection but the latest ones do. They are nice and understated but stylish IMO.

Never convinced by these things myself. Sounds a bit too muchy like pixie dust to me. Quite how they can claim it won't affect your insurance baffles me a bit. Certainly won't if you don't tell them but if you do then you can guarantee your premium will go up.

I'm gonna change mine coz those bleedin chipmunks chattering away behind my head are driving me mad. Just wanted to double check that it's as simple as dropping the shock out, fitting the new mounts/gaskets and then offering it back up. Gonna do one side at a time and then give the nuts a final tigh...

To test it, arm it with the roof down, wait a minute (they all have a delay built in) and then try to reach down into the drivers side footwell. That should set it off.

I suppose you're right. I had it on an old Mondeo and did use it quite alot on motorway trips. It's fantastic for fuel consumption. TBH I have been thinking about doing the retrofit on the ///M anyway so who am I to question Ians motives :lol: .

Just out of interest, why the necessity to have cruise control? I know it's nice sometimes on a really long journey but it certainly wouldn't stop me buying a car. After-all, my ///M doesn't have it (but being S54 it could be retrofitted). Just curious really.
