I have an old BMW branded tube which works wonders in 'plumping up' the rubbers and fixing the leaks, but I think the original formula was withdrawn because of a suspected health risk. RED puts out less CO2 in a year than an average mileage Prius, yet the VED is many times more.
The system is completely cocked...

Nearly 20 years old and looks as good as new! Lovely.

I used to use GY Eagle F1 GSD3 which were pretty good although discontinued some time ago. So last change I did a lot of reading and decided to try out Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas which are mid-priced and had rave reviews. These tyres are just brilliant! RED hasn't put a foot wrong with these rubber...

Oil temp in an ///M engine must reach 80deg before going past 3k rpm. It's the LAW...! :shock:

As I understand it, this is to make sure that the VANOS has a full supply of warmed oil before it gets a hammering.
That's why our S50s and S54s have oil temp gauges....

Alfie. You know that S50 and S54 front suspension is different, don't you? Thanks Gary, yeah, it's actually the rear springs I need, but can't seem to find confirmation that these S50 ones are identical to mine. :rtm: Si reckons they'll fit, but they're a bit softer. I have a Z4M coupe already - as well as a Z4 roadster, 135i and Z3 3 litre Sport. Now that's just plain greedy....! It took me 18 months of trawling the entire country every day on the 'net to find RED, and incredibly she turned up at my local dealer! And of course, worth every minute spent slaving...

With an ///M (ie: no spare of any kind), the best insurance is AA Relay or similar. So long as you've got mobile signal, you'll be ok. With the new road tax regulations and paying monthly, it's really easy to SORN / UNSORN online on a monthly basis.
But to be cost effective, (ie: to work the system to best advantage) you just have to make sure you SORN at the end of the month.

The amount of wear isn't the issue.
I suggest you replace the rears to match the tread pattern of the fronts and keep your old part-worns so you can re-fit them if the new tyres don't fix the problem....

I'm pretty sure your troubles will disappear straight away....
The Z3 is a fickle beast and is known to misbehave if you mix tyres.
