Time to move on..

After 2 years of very enjoyable M ownership, I spotted the car that I wanted to replace it. I am now the happy (many will say brave) owner of a TVR T350c. I wil continue to look in on this board and answer anything I can and will also try to come along on some events. So, thanks to everyone for all ...

Monster performance for the money.
Nope, there are 3 engines choices with the Cerbera: 4.2 V8, 4.5 V8 and 4.0 (might be 3.6) Straight Six.

Correct on the bang per buck though, especially with some of the used prices about these days.

Giles, I have one and, even though it identifies about 15-20 stations probably only 8 or so can really be listened to in Stortford. The others distort as the signal here is so poor. In fact, I can only use it upstatirs but the quality of the signals that can be listened to is excellent.. If you do g...

Oil Temperature

There was a brief discussion during the A14 run on how long it takes for the oil temperature to reach the 60 degress required for 'progress' to be made. It seems to take about 15 minutes of driving from cold for my car, is this the same for everyone?

Cheers,
Howard

That looks like a standard shoot from behind Gatso to me. If so, it is checking for people speeding after they have passed the junction!!! That's safety for you.

I think that will be the limited slip differential and, if leaking, could well be low on oil. Did you buy the car privately or from a dealer? In either case, I would suggest taking it to your nearest dealer for a check.

Re: Lumpy Idle

Any one got any ideas what would cause the idle on my 1.9 Z3 to run very lumpy,e.g. waiting at traffic light etc. the idle is about 7500 revs and the car apart from the idle problem runs perfect. Any Idea's most welcome. Keith, My car has an issue with lumpy tickover and is currently at the dealers...

Robin,

The main symptoms are a loud ticking noise, a lumpy tickover and a general feeling of rougher running. The engine should be as smooth a silk.

Ticking and lumpy tickover

Hi all, Taking the ///M into Sewells on Friday for them to take a look at it. I'm not really happy with the ticking noise from the engine, I know some others do this but it is quite loud and seems to be from low down in the engine. Also, the engine is missing at tickover and doesn't seem to be pulli...

Instrument light control

It changes the illumination of the instruments. We have a BMW Mini Cooper (a BMW Cooper presumably) and, although rather sluggish against the Z3, it is a hoot around the twisties, you just don't have to slow down half the time.

Sorry, a bit of a thread hijack here, but it is clutch related honest! The clutch pedal on my car is about 1.5" higher than the brake and accelerator pedals. Is this the norm did my supplying dealer tell me a fib?
