Hey! I was in Hemel earlier today.

The Watford petrol was 90.9 p/l a week ago - bargain or what!

It's a new thing they are rolling out gradually across the country.

Definitely have it in Tesco, Watford (Waterfields Retail Park)

I loved it - and prefer it over Optimax (again - also much cheaper).

Seemed to give a bit more power and crisper throttle response.

Tesco 99 RON Petrol

I've just tried some of the new Tesco 99 RON petrol at a Tesco near my work and have to say wow!

You can really feel increased power and crisper throttle response.

Love it (and at 90.9p/l is cheaper than optimax by far down here!)

Anyone else tried it?

Cool! :) Can you point in the direction of the software that you're gonna use pls? If you can use the above hardware + software to reset lights AND a few data logging type things from the ECU as well that would be great! BTW sorry for bringing no extra info to this thread and just asking questions.....

I`m not sure about this (could be wrong) but the description makes it sound like only the interface itself is being sold (equivalent of the OBD II connector but for the BMW) and that it doesn't come with any software to let you log data or make changes... I think you'd need to get some software some...

I get this too :) - also 3.0i.

I remember getting quite worried about this when I first got the car....didn't know much (and still don't) back then. Ended up driving 200 miles to the dealer so that a tech could spend 30 secs listening to it and telling me it was fine...

Eagle F1 GSD3s all round for me.

Ordered from Blackcircles - very good service with a local fitter.

No complaints at all.

Brake Warning Light

Hi all, I was disappointed to see the brake warning light come on on my 3.0i. From what I gather I have at least 1000 miles to get some new pads on. Was just wondering whether everyone thinks that it is worth going to a dealer s for this or whether any garage (e.g. Kwik Fit  ) is ok.... what ...

OK - I`m getting worried now.

I *consistently* get between 23 and 24 mpg on my 3.0 roadster. Why am I getting less than a massive great thumpin' X3 (an auto at that!)

For that much money I'd go with an MX5 personally. I really like the way it handles and is a lot of fun. I eventually bought the Z3 3.0 because it is so much faster than an MX5 and had more in the way of comforts. However, for that price I don't think you'd get that great and example of the Z3 where...

Hope you get this sorted. Funny how something small can really ruin the driving experience - especially since once you've identified it you ALWAYS notice it.

I`m about to book my car in also - the steering wheel squeaks every time it is turned. BLOODY ANNOYING.

New bumper cover and the paint for it etc - should be about £600ish - had to get a quote on this recently.

The part itself comes up to about £300, then theres the paint, mixing the paint, spraying the paint, checking the paint etc etc :)

I'm beginning to wonder if there's something wrong with my 3.0i.

Average (over a long time) is 24.0 mpg, with 70% urban/30% mway.

Maybe I`m just a  behind the wheel....

Hiya,

Not sure about the actual problem, but:

Didn't quite get from your post whether you bought privately or from a motor trader. If its the latter and a known prob as he states he should pay for it (harder to pursue if he's a private seller).

Wow - Repair Cost

Hi all, Was unfortunately involved in a rear ender (!) yesterday, a third party hit me when I was stationary. Few minor cuts to the the bumper cover and a bit of chipped paint. THe bodywork estimator showed me that the bumper cover had moved a small amount and that it needed a new one. The cost - bu...

Rear window replacement cost?

Hi all, Took a look at the rear window and to my horror it looks it it has not folded properly for some reason and there is now a opaque squash mark in the top of the window where the plastic was pinched. :bawl: Does anyone know how much it costs to have a dealer fit a new one (the soft top is ok, j...
