It would be a shame to scrap such a nice car; well done for taking it on. I hope you find a bonnet to suit - in the the correct colour if possible, but a respray wouldn't be too bad if necessary, surely? I love my 2.2 hope to keep on running it for a good while yet.

No kkkris, because it is the code plug that is faulty. Both clusters work properly with the plug from the second hand cluster, but neither works with my original plug. Odometer EEP_1 fixed but with issues

After a flat battery episode and recharge, my odometer read EEP_1 instead of mileage, the rev counter, fuel gauge, and temperature gauge all stopped working. Only the speedo worked and not even very accurately. If it was a very warm day or after a run it would revert to normal on restart, but lately...

One of Ebay's finest used instrument clusters in an attempt to fix my EEP_1 problem. Unfortunately the replacement has a higher mileage than my car so I need to try to synchronise it with my on-board log. It was only £30 so it's a bit of a punt.

These two different issues. The CDV is a pain because it damps quick but tiny clutch pedal movements such as we all make when manoeuvreing, but the 'mod' suggested in the link apparently makes the throttle behave more like a real physical cable operated throttle and, as such, would be desirable - if...
