Currently a Merc E220cdi coupe. Nice enough but hugely boring, will be changing it for a BMW equivalent in the summer for my motorway miles. Possibly even a 4x4.

I must admit to not valuing the spare wheel after being so used to carrying a tin of tyre weld and a compressor. I'll be taking out the spare wheel completely to make way for a dual exit exhaust - form over function! Wouldn't have it any other way! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Some small purchases this week to get my project underway, black grilles, red rear cluster, smoked side repeaters and some tinting film (legal) for the front lights, once I actually get chance to do something about it I'll start my project thread proper!

I can certainly vouch for BM Euroservice in Wolverhampton, they've looked after my 6 series since I owned it and will now have my Z3 to sort out. Mark and Paul are the owners and they're both ex dealership so you get a dealership quality but nowhere near the price.

This may sound a little simplistic but have you checked the battery in the fob? I had the same issue with my E39 and couldn't work out why it would open but not lock but a quick trip to Halfords and problem solved.

Don't rule out a tyre being 'out' - I put Falken 452s on my E64 and went through a load of pain trying to diagnose a wheel wobble and eventually realised that the tyre itself was running out. I'm a real fan of Falkens for performance but was very disappointed in their quality control. Worth a check ...

I've just been doing a bit of research on the BBK versus upgrading to more of an OEM style set up and the EBC yellow stuff pads with 3M anti squeal pads plus the brembo HC (high carbon) discs seem to do a good job. Anybody used these?
