Looks like a great trip on some wonderful driving roads.

My wife has absolutely no interest whatsoever in cars and refuses to go anywhere in the Z3 or any of my Triumphs, even if it were a trip abroad. :( I've just thought, perhaps the cars aren't the problem, perhaps it's me!

You have to remember that some previous owners won't reply because they no longer live at the same address as they did when they owned the car.

You will get no consistency of answer as we all have our own preferences - just look at the answers so far. The point is that people can't/won't use the forum search facility. If they did, they'd see pages and pages of recommendations about tyre choices. I've been on this forum for nearly two years ...

Robert Your comments on the Pageant of Power are interesting as my thoughts and the feedback I was hearing from others was that the event was probably past its best and a victim of its own success. I would not be too worried about mixing brands of oil so long as the specification is correct. A few weeks ago, Halfords had an offer on their fully synthetic oil which is designed for BMWs, not sure if it is still on though. They don't seem to make a top-up size though, just the usual 5 litres. I a...

You may have spent more on it and it may have been repaired properly, but having a CAT rating will scare 99% of potential buyers off.

But if you tell people what you know of its history and emphasise the positive, then I'm sure you will eventually find a good home for it.

Sell as is, for what you can get.

You will never, ever recoup the cost of that amount of work on a Z3. Although we in this forum appreciate these little cars for the bargains that they are, for 99% of the population they are just a cheap car and their value reflects this.
