if it does fail, i believe you are still allowed to drive without an MOT to a pre-booked mot test.

I hope you are allowed, because i have.

petrol consumption

Just out of interest, roughly what kind of miles do you get out of your z3's? Dont know the mpg (its too late to do maths right now) but i get around 40-50 miles out of £10 at todays petrol prices. This is on a 1.9 16v. I've always thought this was pretty poor milage, but kind of accepted that it wo...

i was very happy at £640! thats with 7 years no claims, fully comp, 3000 miles social domestic & pleasure only on a 1.9 1999. Must be because of my assumed youthful enthusiasm whilst driving (i'm 26).

I didn't realise the tonneau's were worth so much! I just threw mine in the loft when i got the car and could never be bothered putting it on. It was too much hassle to clip it all on. does look neater with it on though.

it wouldn't be my choice of car if i was spending that. I have used a similar system to pep, but i just bought a couple of ratchet type straps (<£20) and used a towel to prevent scratching. put a huge tent plus some camping gear wrapped in a tarp on the back.

Not sure on how road legal it is though as it covers the central brake light.
