Heater core/matrix?

My 2.8 roadster has been undercover for the winter months and the carpet was bone dry, in fact doesn't have a history of water getting in through the roof or usual windscreen (lucky chap I hear you say). However, I took it for a good run the other day and parked nose up into the driveway and found w...

Re: Yet another alarm question

Thanks Brian, that bonnet switch was my next port of call. Also, thinking about it, I had a new radio/CD installed at about the first time it started playing up (last June ish). The Halfords guy had to put a new plug on to fit the new system....that's a possibilty?? Need to see what this anti theft ...

Yet another alarm question

97 2.8 Roadster with older OEM separate 'brick' alarm control. Last summer my Z3's alarm would start going off randomly :? I originally thought it might have been the cars battery which was shot, but it has a brand new battery in now, I have changed the 'bricks' internal battery but it still happens...

wonder of that is why I couldn't find the wires for my heated seats. I was looking under the dash where as they could be fed through between the seat to the back. Mine is a 97 car also I just separated the 12 x2 heating wires back as far as I needed to go, so not sure how forward that loom goes. Al...

Repositioning the heated seat switches

You might have noticed that the various switches in a Z3 do vary somewhat. I have a '97 2.8 Roadster with the two heated seat switches tucked aft to the rear of the centre console......really useful whilst driving! http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r654/koolflyer/sw1_zpsdtb9wlsp.jpg So, my first t...

Re: So it's still not handling how I'd want...

Like Martin, I have a 1998 2.8 which always handles well at speed and on good roads, but it too is not so stable on patched up roads or white lines, it becomes a bit skittish. Apart from the shocks (which surely must need replacing) I've changed all the bushes, control bars, drop links and tyres etc...

If you download Photobucket you can resize, crop etc so your photos are stored on the storage Photobucket gives you. Then just copy & paste. Otherwise the storage required for zroadster.net would be too big for their own allowance.....if I've understood correctly :rtm:

I put ACS Type 3's onto my 2.8 which was staggered. I'm now running 8.5J front and back with correct ACS spigots. The extra width of the fronts (which were 7.5J) is as near as damn it flush with the wheel arch (using Bertiejaffa's piece of wood method), however I too found that the standard 8.5J on ...

Yes they are a bit of a sod, and probably end in injury! Hi Jim There are a couple of connectors under the seats, so perhaps a lose wire? If there is play in the seats, you may find that the seat bushes have disintegrated or broken. There is one for each 'kebab'/screw bar (two for each seat). This is an easy job providing you have the correct Torx bits (T...
