What sort of filtration are you using. My mates acted up after a waterpump failure and his cone filter sucked in coolant which caused the butterfly to stick after it sat for a couple days

Check the throttle body. Chances are the butterfly valve is stuck, dirty. Clean it. The secondary valve that cuts power when the asc kicks in is stuck keeping the asc light on.

Until you make sure of the condition of the suspension components any discussion on handling is pointless. Once you know the mechanics are right then you can move on to tyre choice, ride heights and geometry settings. It's taken me a few months to get mine where I am happy with it at speed on b road...

By wire or cable is irrelevant. In the same way the ecu controls timing and fueling for various grades of fuel so the ecu will control fuel and timing when the system says something is not quite right. Not so much a limp home mode, but pull back a couple degrees timing and add a little fuel and pres...

The condition of any car is dependant on use and environment. Your z lives in South Africa. No salt on the roads. I regularly see evo's freshly imported from Japan that are 17-20 years old with no rust what so ever. Many pampered cars live in garages and are fair weather cars especially 2 seater con...

The timing of this occurring would suggest the possibility of one of the front abs sensors at fault. Is it just the TCS light coming on. Are the tyres the correct size. Can you get the car checked for codes.

The discs are the same size or smaller than the 3 series saloon. A popular brake upgrade is to put the 300mm discs from saloons on with the original calipers and pads. Z3 has 280 mm discs. So no more area than everything else. The calipers are common to a lot more than just z3's. As far as wider tyr...

Given the low mileage you do I would go Mobil 1 0w40. IMHO one of the best oils available and the 0W cold rating ensures the fastest possible pressure build up on cold starting. This oil has served me without fail for almost 140,000 miles in a 450/450 evo5. You need to check the voltage under load. ...
