I would say that your Zed is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it, if you wanted to sell. To me mines still worth the 29k I paid for it in 1999 :lol: many cars have come and gone but the Zed remains the same (I feel a song coming on). I'm in the land of cheap detailing gear at the moment...

I don't think those M rear wheels will fit in the arches when you lower it?, it's been tried many times on both sides of pond, could be wrong, let us know how you get on?.

Interesting, we visit family in North Carolina regularly and that's a no front licence plate required state and all the cars including Z3's look better.

Mine's in the shed :lol: it weighs nearly 30lbs you know. I've carried a can of pucture repair stuff since I had the car, have you tried the scisser jack?, no way I'd trust that at the side of the road!, and nowhere to put a 8.5 x 17 wheel so temp repair system for me and get you home.

I'd heard some good reports on here some years ago about them so gave my local operator a try, he done the usual chips on the bonnet and bumper and to be honest I wasn't impressed. It could be the guy just wasn't that good at it.

I hope yours last, I've tried E-bay aero wipers on my Volvo and they didn't last long and squeeked. I've always used Bosch on the Zed but bought some Wipac blades for the Volvo that have been great so I use them now.

Have you seen the Sony DSX-S range of headunits?, they have no CD players in them but a tray which you put your ipod/mp3 into and close the facia so your ipod is inside the headunit 8-) I like the sound of that plus I like Sony's rotory remote control which I have fitted to my steering colume under ...

I have an S2000 button in the cig lighter hole, I like the look of the alloy push button though :) I have wired in a double socket in the glovebox for sat nav and phone charger.

I bought an inlet cam sensor off E-Bay, part looked identical to the original one and though it cured the flat spot @1500rpm it gave me problems everywhere else including stalling and non starting. I've had footwell lights on mine for years with no problems, I've just replaced the bulbs with LEDs which don't draw as much currant.
I've also fitted an extra light in the bootlid.

I've done a similar comparison in my area between Saisburys super and Shell V power (my nearest Tesco's is not conveniant) in my 98 Volvo V70 R which is chipped and found on average I get 5mpg better on Shell.

Yes there are screws which clamp them on.....also the pipes are slightly oval and quite short so measure carefully for after market ones.

Wow..... 11 quid for my first set to replace the black ones the 2.0 came with in 99, and then 15 quid for a S/H set off here (the chrome started to come off). I take mine off regulaly and clean them and they just pull off.

What's the best way to remove paint from plastic body components, the paint on my bebaged M gills has started to bubble in places so I want to strip all the old paint off before repainting them.

Eibach are the OE manufacturer of Schnitzer sports springs, and after I fitted mine I had the geometry checked by the dealer and it matched all the settings for the BMW Schnitzer sport suspension option on the Z3.

I ordered mine with the blue/black sport seats and extended leather option and it was called Topaz blue same as the exterior colour of that model year (1999/2000).
