Was given this copy of practical Classics at the NEC Classic Car Show, and came across this article. I need one of those plastic studs which hold the sound proofing material to the inside of the bonnet, for my '97 2.8. Anyone have a gash one lying around please? 'Spurs' you must have one? :wink:

Did Le Mans 24 this year, so off in the Zeds again this time to the Spa Classic 22-24th May 2015, I'm told a slightly more relaxed event for the enthusiast......we'll see. :roll:

Koolflyer, what are those dates for? le Mans is 13-15 June. :puzzle: Someone 'question marked' Spa Classic, so all I did was to inform them of the dates next year of that particular event...not LM24. Perhaps I should have never mentioned Spa on the Le Mans 2015 post, just trying to be helpful...sorry

On my '97 2.8, the drivers seat base had become unstitched at the rear next to the handbrake, presumably where people over time have knelt or twisted around to wipe the rear window for instance, and put pressure on the stitched joint. I stripped the seat base carefully and took it to my local 'stitc...

My old girl is the same as yours Dave, and your dead right about salt....that's where I draw the line too. It's a difficult one, because to date the winters aren't as cold (fingers crossed here) and because of that there are a lot of good driving days to be had without subjecting it to anything nast...

Hi davieb.......I suppose these things will keep only so much weather out, but its the fit that concerns me because I understandably don't want the paint work getting scratched again. There is obviously a fine balance between too snug and not being breathable, and too lose allowing the wind to bello...

Thanks for that Paul. Right, the dimensions are as follows: Car Length Width Z4 4091mm 1781mm Z3 4025mm 1740mm So, the standard Z4 is only 66mm (2.5" approx) longer and 41mm (1.5"approx) wider than a standard Z3, which ain't much, that does suprise me! So, perhaps grouping them together si...

Thanks Alfie, what I better do is find out what the exact nose to rear lengths are on both the Z3 and the Z4 for a comparison. Your make of cover requiring a smaller size for the Z3 doesn't suprise me, further investigation required. :?
