Re: What's a Z3M worth?
The blue one s having a laugh but was bought from a main agent with warranty so you can assume a few facts: - it's a good example for a main agent to put a used approved warranty on it - the current owner paid over the odds for it I can't believe however that he paid £40k as recent coupes sold throu...

The S52 is not an ///M (well it's badged as one in he usa market) The S54 won't take a Simota as the MAF is integrated into the OEM intake unit, you would need an alpha remap. Also the S50 needs a different part ideally for a snug fit (Renault Clio) and different hose fittings so the none ///M altho...

I don't like it, nothing to do with ///M branding as already said above BMW stick that everywhere on every model nowadays (except the boot ), I just do t like it for cosmetic reasons. Makes it look like the doors have been re sprayed and the stripes missing.

Re: Choice, Z3 3.0 or Z4 3.0
I wasn't planning on spending an awful lot, maybe £4K on a Z3 or £5K on a Z4. The Z3 should be Sept/Oct 1998 (i.e. so it's the face-lift model) and a Z4 should be 2004 onward. I don't care what millage they have done simply because I'd be adding a lot to them anyway. Don't mind what value they hold...

Have you ever driven a Z4, if not the question is irrelevant as only you can answer it by driving both cars. However, for what it's worth doing 30k pa I would go for the Z4. The Z3 is more fun but that is not its main purpose with that mileage, it's greater refinement you need which is what the Z4 w...

From memory the bolts on the S54 where a free recall fix so any S54 owner should check it's been done on the warranty history, any dealer can check for you as all warranty work is shared across the dealership network.
